Stormkeep

Stormkeep is a game that I have been developing for the past nine years. It has been reincarnated many times in different programming languages and scales.

The most current incarnation was developed in Java and made use of a number of useful packages: Project Darkstar for a game server framework, jMonkeyEngine for a 3D rendering engine, and LWJGL for its access to OpenGL.

Ending credits for a kinetic text video that I created using Adobe After Effects. Click the link to watch the whole thing.

pAIR Assessment

pAIR Assessment is an application written in Java that facilitates the testing of young children in areas such as alliteration, rhyming, and image identification.

My role in this project was as a key leader in the design of the application, and as the lead technical contributor during its development. I ran a small team that developed the graphical interface of the application using Java Swing and AWT.

I designed the graphical interface, and also developed drag and drop support to make the application easier to use for non-technical people.

JAS Construction

J.A.S. Construction needed a complete overhaul of their existing website. The primary goal was to have a warm and inviting website that maintained a professional look and would showcase their beautiful homes.

I created an attractive, standards-compliant site for them, including a special admin tool I coded so that the employees of the company could change house listings and gallery images on the website.

TeamCipher

TeamCipher.org is a fan website for the immensely popular game Guild Wars that I built for an avid group of gamers that needed a place to organize themselves and exchange information.

This website uses Drupal, a content management system, to deliver news stories, articles, reference material, links, tools, and more to the community of players that use it.

The website also includes a phpBB forum with several custom layouts and skins that I created for different seasons and events.

JGAAP

JGAAP is a Java-based, modular program for textual analysis, text categorization, and authorship attribution.

I was brought into the development team as an interface designer and GUI developer, with the task of re-designing and developing the existing graphical framework.

I designed and coded the above interface, which uses a wizard-like program flow and custom, hand-coded drag and drop functionality to simplify a complicated task and promote ease-of-use.
